Editing
We moved over from filming to editing. In the beginning I faced some difficulties when it came to editing but referred to youtube to help me in answering my questions. Through tutorials I learned the art of glitching as well as removing a green screen etc. I am the one who is responsible for the editing of our media product. To make the character of the grim reaper more evil I made the use of glitches as well as colour graded it according to the mood of the video. The main audio track was not setting well with the theme of our product and seemed more like a 'documentary' hence by following the advice of my teachers and friends I changed the audio track to something more in linkeded with our genre of suspense/thriller.
I used smoke with our title sequence to give it that dimension of eeriness (which i green screened out) There were also multiple shots that didn't look good once we added them to premiere hence we re shot them in order to achieve a more cinematic feel. Moreoever I added folly sounds in places where we hear footsteps, gun shot etc. To add emphasis and make it feel and look more real and audible. Furthermore since no real firearm was used in the making of our media product, and to make the gun shot look more realistic I added a green screen muzzle flash to help give us that moment.
On the advice of my teachers that thought the dip to black video transition was too much, I added film dissolve instead so that it doesnt feel like a long time has passed. Moreoever I sat with my media teacher and editing the remaining film, tweaking it here and there as we reached final touches. There were also certain shots that were slightly shaky hence I added wrap stabilizer to help us make these shots more smooth. The dark scenes of the media product are colour graded with blue undertones to make it feel cold and scary.
